The Onion parodied this phenomenon in an article titled "New rap song samples Billie Jean in its entirety, adds nothing."[6] Nevertheless, he has been enormously successful, with a current estimated worth of US $346 million and growing, making him the richest person in the hip hop entertainment business.[7]
